Festool Packout Adaptor - Custom Mod (DIGITAL 3D PRINT FILE ONLY)
THIS IS A DIGITAL STL FILE FOR 3D PRINTING NOT A PHYSICAL PRODUCT. You will not receive a physical product, this is a digital 3D file so you can personally 3D print your own insert.
My custom design allows you to mount and stack your Packout on top of your Festool Vacuum Cleaner Dust Extractors! The print is designed to mount and interlock to the Vac using the pre-existing Systainer clips. Then simply bolt on the Compact Packout Mounting plate to the top of the print for stacking your Packout!

The printed portion is compatible with a wide array of the current lineup of Festool Vacuums and Systainer 3 boxes. I have a comprehensive visual guide at the bottom of this page so you can confirm it will work for you!
Features - Super Flexible Design
- Perfect Adaptor - You can finally combine your gear! If like me you run Milwaukee but have Festool for your Vac, It's frustrating not being able to store your gear on top. That's what led to me developing this design!
- Quick Access - The front has been left open, allowing for storing or retrieval of your vacuum hose without having to remove any boxes.
- Easy Mount - No need for any permanent mods to Festool or Packout gear! I've designed this to use the existing Systainer clips and latches. It will attach just like any other Systainer!
- Strong and Durable - With the T-Lock and 4 latches engaged, your Packout stack will be very well secured. I could lift my Vacuum by the clipped on Packout, shake it, and it remained safely attached.
- Off the shelf parts - Uses the Packout Compact Wall Plate and four M6 30mm Bolts. The provided mounting holes in the print are 8mm to allow for ease of mounting. They also include space for washers.
Pre Split Files and Hardware - A huge variety of files are included for you to print your adaptor. You can print in a single piece if you have a larger enough printer, or print it in pre split parts like I have done and then bolt them together. I printed all of mine on my Bambu X1C with its 256x256mm bed. The pre split parts have 4mm holes provided for M4 bolts.
- Pre Split - Front to Sides Joint - M4 Bolt 20mm x8 (Wall thickness is 13mm)
- Pre Split - Side A to Side B Mid Joint - M4 Bolt 20mm x8 (Wall thickness is 13mm)
- Pre Split - Side B to Back Joint - M4 Bolt 20mm x10 (Wall thickness is 16mm)
- Pre Split - Back Part A & B Joint - M4 Bolt 25mm x6 (Wall thickness is 10mm)
- Packout Plate Mount - M6 Bolt 30mm x 4
Print Setting Recommendation:
When printing the adaptor, it's recommended that you print at a higher density of infill and wall thickness than usual to ensure structural integrity. There shouldn't be any issues, it's simply easier to provide the extra structural support given that it will have full Packouts stated on top.
Files are included for this to be printed in a single piece or in halves. If you have a Bambu X1C 3D printer, you will be able to print the full set of pre split parts.
You'll even be able to print the full front portion on the Bambu by simply rotating it 45 degrees to run diagonally across your print bed.
FileFile Sizes/Dimensions:
These are large parts. Files are provided for both single part prints or printing in halves with my pre-split files. My pre-split files have sections included that allow the parts to interlock and allow for easy application of super glue and bolt hardware.
If you want to see the sizes of each part, please look the at last image in the gallery above to see photos with the part sizes/dimensions. If the pre-split parts are still too large, you may need to slice them up smaller, so they fit your printer.

I drove down to my local tool Shop to test the compatibility of the adapter design on the available Vacuum and Systainer boxes. Below details the compatible models complete with pictures.

Semi Compatible:
The design of these Vacuum's were different, which meant the fit wasn't as perfect. All the latches clipped closed, although the fit was still slightly loose. So the mount will work, it just slide around slightly.
