Packout M18 Multi-tool FUEL (DIGITAL 3D PRINT FILE ONLY)
THIS IS A DIGITAL STL FILE FOR 3D PRINTING NOT A PHYSICAL PRODUCT. You will not receive a physical product, this is a digital 3D file so you can personally 3D print your own insert.
This is a custom insert that I have designed to fit your Milwaukee Packout to store your M18 Multi-tool and accompanying kit. It specifically fits the Milwaukee 48228435 PACKOUT Compact Organiser.
The specific M18 Multi-tool that this is designed for is model M18FMT-0, link is provide here: https://www.milwaukeetool.com.au/power-tools/carpentry/multi-tools/M18FMT-0.html
Tool Placement Note:
You may notice the tool is slightly longer than the physical opening in the top of the case. In the past some have cut chunks out of the top of their cases to fit the tool however, with my custom insert design you don't need to do this! Through positioning the tool on the side of the case, the battery end of the skin can actually tuck in under the overhanging lip! As luck would have it, there's a bunch of room in this hollowed out section of the Packout.
You simply insert the tool battery end first and then lower the head down into the insert. You can see this demonstrated in the gallery above and in my video on Instagram. This process is very easy and results in the tool sitting nice and secure! If you look at the demo in the gallery above, you simply make sure that the back-most portion of the tool rests in the centre of the preexisting indentation/cut out in the top lip of the Packout.
File Size Note:
These are large parts, so you may need to slice them up smaller to get them to fit on your printer. If you would like to see the size of each part, look the at last image above which is dimensioned. If you print the files that have been split already, you can simply glue the halves together.
